Sharon Williams, MS, OTR/L has had an interest in low vision rehabilitation since graduate school, and more recently she pursued her certificate in low vision rehabilitation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. LOVision Therapy was born out of her desire to provide high quality low vision occupational therapy services in her community. When Sharon is not doing occupational therapy, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeffrey, and two daughters, Hannah Mae and Sophie. She also enjoys being involved in her church, reading and hiking.
We take a holistic approach to occupational therapy, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients. Our goal is to help our clients achieve their goals and maximize their potential, while also promoting overall health and wellness.
We offer in home occupational therapy services addressing functional limitation from eye conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy or brain injury. We do a comprehensive evaluation and collaborate with you to establish a treatment plan to meet your priorities and goals. We use assistive technology and innovative interventions to help reach your goals.
At LOVision Therapy, we believe in providing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client. We work closely with clients and their caregivers to develop tailored goals and treatment plans. We enjoy offering services in your home or community to address daily activities where they typically occur.
Sharon Williams, MS, OTR/L has 14 years of experience providing occupational therapy services to older adults living in the community. She also has a graduate certificate in Low Vision Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

LOVision Therapy offers in home occupational therapy services specializing in low vision rehabilitation. If you or a loved one has a visual impairment, such as macular degeneration, glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy, and it is impacting your everyday function, you may benefit from an evaluation.
We may recommend that you make changes to your home, such as increase the lighting or decrease glare in certain areas. We may work with you on strategies for performing a specific task, such as cooking or gardening. We may also work with you on using magnifiers or other low vision devices to accomplish tasks such as reading, writing or financial management.
Yes! We do bill insurance for occupational therapy services addressing low vision. You will provide your insurance information prior to the first visit and will be provided with an form for estimated costs. We are not able to predict or guarantee insurance coverage of services at any time.
Yes! Because we bill insurance, the service does have to be ordered by a physician. This can be your eye doctor or your primary care physician.
